Lorraine Mphahlele


Lorraine Mphahlele has extensive general management and executive recruitment experience across all industries, particularly recruiting for C-suite executives and senior management. She has worked for various Multinational firms such as Revlon as Promotions Manager and Wella South Africa as Marketing and Sales Manager. She also spent some time at Transnet as Marketing and Communications Manager before setting up her own business in 2001. Ms Mphahlele was also an independent Executive Coach at Change Partners, and the Chief Executive at Leaders Unlimited – a South African executive search firm as well as Principal at Pedersen & Partners – an International executive search firm with offices in over 50 countries. 

Ms Mphahlele is also a member of the panel of senior experts for the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), a development finance state owned company in South Africa – providing business coaching to the young entrepreneurs who have been allocated business loans for their manufacturing businesses located within the IDC industrialist Programme. 

She completed her O’levels at Waterford Kamhlaba United World College of Southern Africa. She holds a Social Science degree from the University of Swaziland, a business management Diploma from Damelin Management School, as well as an MSc in Leadership & Change from Leeds Beckett University in Leeds. Lorraine is a Certified NLP Coach, Certified Practitioner of Time – Line Therapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming.

Her experience in starting and managing business dates back to the mid 90’s. The experience of setting up many other businesses afterwards, including her current executive recruitment firm – Leadership Talent, set up around 2013, has equipped her with hands-on business planning, marketing, operations and human resources management, capital raising and strong leadership skills. Having been an executive coach since 2005, she has highly developed self-awareness and is committed to the ongoing development of talent.
